Help Write Andrea's Manifesto! ✏️🫵

Andrea Egan is asking UNISON members who support her campaign to contribute to her Manifesto. Andrea believes in making UNISON a genuinely member-led union where rank-and-file members make decisions and those decisions are kept to. Now she wants to harness the best ideas of the movement to contribute to her Manifesto. 

Here's how it will work:

  • The manifesto will be kept succinct and accessible

  • It will include the ideas in Andrea’s "My vision for change" that she launched in January

  • All Andrea’s supporters are asked to submit proposals in writing by 9th July by filling in this form. 

  • We will then meet on Monday 21st July at 6pm to discuss the proposals in an online meeting. RSVP here.

  • The manifesto will be published in August for all UNISON members and branches. 

Want to get involved? Next steps…

  1. Read Andrea’s Vision for Change so you have a clear idea of the commitments she has already made. 

  2. Discuss ideas with your workplace colleagues and other UNISON members.

  3. Submit any ideas using this form. Maximum 3 proposals per person.

  4. RSVP for the online meeting here. 

  5. And of course - if you haven’t already, sign up and donate to Andrea’s campaign! 

Tips:

  • Be concise! The Manifesto will be kept succinct and accessible and we already have commitments outlined in Andrea’s Vision for Change. 

  • Think about proposals that will cut through and resonate with the wider UNISON membership beyond current Andrea supporters. 

  • Get involved! Andrea’s Manifesto will only be put into practice if she wins the GS Campaign. So if you make a proposal, make sure you are ready to follow through and pull the stops out to help get her elected.
